2022 Construction General Permit required for all construction projects in 2025

The State of California Water Resources Control Board has issued a new Construction Stormwater Permit!

What that means for construction projects, new requirements that affect all current and future projects.
Not to worry, for most general contractors, the changes will do little to alter daily production, and the implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs) remain the same. However, there is much more required of the Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) and the Qualified SWPPP Practitioners (QSP). Therefore, qualified personnel must be assigned to every project! Be warned, the Waterboards have been recently increasing inspection frequency. If you are implementing the SWPPP the same way you have done for years, you are probably in violation.
